In a recent poll, Progressive Dairyman asked, “What projects on the dairy do you tackle during the winter?”
The participants who had the most vote (around 44 percent) spend their winter cleaning and repairing equipment.
The second most popular answers tied with around 22 percent each. These readers spend their winter “organizing financial paperwork,” or they do what they do the rest of the year: milking and feeding.
Coming in last are the scholars. Around 11 percent said that they spend the winter “catching up on work-related reading.” PD
