What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I earned my bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
Please describe your agricultural background.
I was born on a beef and dairy farm in this area, and I have worked my entire working career in the animal nutrition business in mill management and sales.
What territory will you cover?
I will be working with producers in Southwestern Ontario.
What are your new responsibilities?
I will be involved as a member of the Jones Feed Mills sales team in on-farm consulting on nutrition and management aspects with dairy and beef producers.
What previous positions have you held?
I started my selling career working with a large multinational food and animal nutrition company. I spent some time in Alberta with this company. I was part of an ownership group that owned two feed mills in Southern Ontario from 1985 to 2000. Just prior to joining the Jones team, I spent 12 years in dairy and beef consulting while working with another Ontario nutrition company.
How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
In my career, working with producers, I believe that I have developed a good sense of what are the most important contributors to the success of a producer’s business. By visually analyzing a farm operation and reviewing available records I can assist my client in targeting those aspects of his business where improvements will yield the best results.

I have always respected the Jones Feed Mill as a tough competitor. Jones are a third generation family business that has enjoyed well-managed steady growth by honestly caring for the needs of both employees and customers.
What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
I hope to continue to share my experience and offer suggestions to my clients that will enable them to benefit from enhanced animal performance that will result in improved profitability. PD
