What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I am a veterinarian with a Ph.D. in veterinary epidemiology.
What territory will you cover?
Worldwide, with emphasis on Canada, the U.S. and Latin America.
What are your new responsibilities?
I am responsible for communicating and interacting with farmers, veterinarians and distributors in the form of educational activities, such as presentations in professional meetings, and on-farm troubleshooting related to neonatal calf raising and colostrum management.
I am also responsible for designing and implementing studies related to colostrum management.
What previous positions have you held?
I was a faculty member at Purdue University and an independent consultant for international development projects, mainly in Africa and Central Asia.
What excites you most about working in your new role?
Interacting with farmers and veterinarians from different cultures around the world.
How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
Helping them to better raise their future investment: the heifers.

I liked the combination of education, research and traveling.
What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
I want to increase awareness of colostrum management among farmers world-wide, and help my company to succeed in this area worldwide. PD
