John Deere has added two new models of X Series combines to its 2021 harvesting lineup to help large-scale farmers thresh, separate and clean more bushels per hour or harvest more acres per day, even under changing conditions, without risking grain loss or quality. The new X9 1000 and X9 1100 combines represent the next level of John Deere harvesting performance and bolster a lineup that includes field-proven S Series combines.
X Series combines feature a wide feeder house, dual separator and the industry’s largest cleaning shoe, which work together to improve crop flow and increase harvesting capacity. The 75-square-foot Dyna-Flo XL Cleaning Shoe has 36% more cleaning area than the S790.
During harvest, highly fuel-efficient X Series combines can run up to 14 hours without refueling. An all-new John Deere PowerTech 13.6-liter engine works with a robust belt-drive system and updated ProDrive XL transmission to improve fuel efficiency.
X Series combines are available on wheels or tracks. The X9 1000 grain tank can hold up to 420 bushels, and the X9 1100 holds up to 460 bushels of grain. Folding unloading augers with Adjustable Spout are available for the X Series in 26-, 28.5- or 31-foot lengths.
John Deere will start taking orders for X Series combines later this summer. For more details, visit your local dealer or on our website.
CLAAS introduces the Lexion 6000 Series straw walker combines
CLAAS of America announces the launch of the all-new Lexion 6000 Series straw walker combines. The new technology offers an engineered mix of efficiency, precision and convenience that excels in crops like wheat, canola and grass seed – all in a reliable and easily maintained package.
With two new models to choose from, the new Lexion straw walker combines are designed to save time and make the job easier for farmers who want efficient separation without over-threshing grain or damaging straw.
With the increased capacity of the Lexion 6900 and 6800, the new machines provide up to 25% more throughput. The APS Synflow Walker threshing and separation system has the straightest crop flow in the industry and is the only combine on the market with an accelerator drum for constant crop acceleration, efficient grain separation and gentle straw handling without having to make any sacrifices. It brings together the accelerated crop flow provided by APS with an additional separator drum after the threshing drum, delivering exceptional, fuel-efficient throughput and the highest straw quality.
Paired with the industry’s largest grain tank and fastest unloading speeds, the new Lexion straw walker combines are built to cut through more acres with zero compromise.

Bobcat Company expands its excavator lineup with the new E165
Bobcat Company is expanding its excavator product offering with its newest addition: the Bobcat E165 large excavator. The E165 large excavator will be the largest excavator in the lineup.
Delivering class-leading hydraulic performance, the E165 provides reliable, steady power to save time with every digging cycle. The machine boasts leading lifting capabilities that enable operators to lift more with greater confidence, so they can pick and place items with ease. The E165 also builds on the company’s established reputation for delivering exceptional operator comfort and simplified maintenance.
Similar to the E145, the E165 complements the performance of 700- and 800-frame-size Bobcat compact track and skid-steer loaders. The new excavator is ideal for heavy digging and lifting operations on commercial and residential building sites, underground utility applications, and road and bridge projects.
Powerful performance
The E165 – equipped with a 131-HP engine and conventional tail swing design – delivers class-leading hydraulics that provide reliable, steady power to the large excavator work group, saving excavator operators time with every digging cycle. The E165 boasts industry-leading lifting capacity that enables operators to move items with ease, as well as more slew torque for slewing uphill, backfilling and all-around better productivity. With its advanced hydraulics and powerful pumps, the E165 delivers leading performance.
The E165 has four selectable power modes to give operators adaptable performance to tackle the job at hand. Whether the priority is efficient fuel consumption or all-out power for tough digging applications, operators can set performance to the demands of the job all from the comfort of the cab. Plus, a convenient power-boost button on the right-hand joystick temporarily increases hydraulic power to allow operators to break through hard ground.
H2O Precision Moisture Sensor plus bale marker for all balers
The Harvest Tec H20 Precision Moisture Sensor with industry-leading accuracy is now available for all balers. The new hardwired system uses patented side-to-side sensing technology that reads hay moisture across the full width of the bale five times each second between dual star wheels for large and small square balers or between dual discs for round balers. It accurately measures moisture from 6% to 60% on round balers and up to 70% on square balers for producers making high-moisture or dry hay bales.
The H20 moisture sensor uses the operator’s smartphone or tablet as the monitor. The control is mounted in the cab and is hardwire connected via the charging cable to the operator’s device, using the free H20 app from Harvest Tec.
The H2O Precision Moisture Sensor is ideally designed for all baler operators who want to view crop moisture with simplicity and accuracy as it is being baled with a durable, reliable, lower-cost sensing and monitoring system.
Bale marking capability
A bale marking option is a significant feature of the system, used to identify bale moisture levels. The operator establishes a moisture threshold, and if the average moisture of the bale exceeds that level, the bale is marked with a food-grade dye as it exits the baler. Throughout the process, the operator observes all bale moisture readings in real-time on a smartphone or tablet device, while still being able to make and receive phone calls.
Harvest Tec’s new H2O Precision Moisture Sensor and bale marker are available through your hay tools dealer. For more information, contact your dealer, visit us online or call (800) 635-7468.
