Gentle on the ground thanks to larger tires

To make the baler-wrapper combination even more attractive, Göweil made standard the larger 560/45R22.5 Flotation Trac tires made by Vredestein. The new tires ensure weight is distributed evenly, significantly reducing the load on the ground in the field. This dramatically improves work, especially when the ground is particularly soft. Better yet, Göweil managed to keep the vehicle width at 3 meters despite the wider tires.

For customers who need to work under extreme conditions, the manufacturer offers even wider wheels that are paired with Nokian 710/35-R22.5 tires, which increases the width of the vehicle to 3.3 meters.

Easy operation with ISOBUS

The control technology has been given a major overhaul as well. Göweil is making this baler generation available with ISOBUS as the standard option. Boasting a clearly arranged and easy-to-use interface, the new control also shows more information on the display. While Göweil makes the G-1 available with the company's own ISOBUS terminal, the machines are, of course, compatible with all other ISOBUS-capable terminals.

Closed film storage with increased stowage space

Göweil revamped the design of the machine in terms of both appearance and functionality. The closed, hydraulically folding film storage has space for 14 rolls of wrapping film plus two rolls of wide film or netting, which keeps the rolls well protected against weather and damage.

Improved performance

The drive system built into the latest generation baler has been given another major boost in performance through larger-sized chains. This extends the lifetime of the machine considerably and reduces the operating costs to a minimum.

WCCO Belting announces patent-pending draper belting and belted chain technology for agriculture industry

WCCO Belting announced two new products – an angled cleat extension for its Raptor draper belting and a new belt design for belted chain assemblies for the agriculture industry. These designs, both patent-pending, demonstrate WCCO Belting’s commitment to be the leading value innovator for agricultural belting solutions worldwide.

WCCO Belting’s patent-pending enhancement for draper belting is an angled cleat technology manufactured with the company’s Raptor belt construction, the gold standard in harvesting applications for small grains and edible beans. For combine harvest headers (draper platforms), swathers and mergers, the cleat extension is designed to increase efficiency and output while reducing downtime from material buildup under the belt. The angled cleat directs crop to the center of the draper belt and into the feeder house, successfully pulling material away from the cutter bar. In addition, an angled connection method creates a smooth, quiet transition of the draper belt on the roller.

The design of its patent-pending belt for belted chain assemblies will improve process efficiency for assembly manufacturers and redefine performance for original equipment manufacturers and growers in root vegetable harvesting applications including potatoes, sugar beets, carrots, onions and more. The belt can universally accommodate any pitch requirement and is engineered with a simple hardware concept for easy assembly and disassembly. The construction of WCCO Belting’s belt for belted chain is a strong, yet flexible design that supports the belt’s ability to move around the rollers for less pressure on the splice. Low elongation in the fabric design reduces slippage and promotes steady tension during operation. In addition, sealed edges prevent moisture wicking into the belt carcass, which eliminates delamination.

JCB adds new telescopic compact track loader to teleskid range

JCB added the new 2TS-7T Teleskid compact track loader to its range of Teleskid skid steers and compact track loaders equipped with telescopic booms to lift higher, reach farther and dig deeper than competing machines. The 2TS-7T Teleskid is built on the company’s small-platform skid steer chassis for optimal maneuverability and easy transportation between job sites without need for a commercial driver’s license (subject to local regulations).

Other machines in JCB’s Teleskid range are the large-platform 3TS-8T compact track loader and 3TS-8W wheeled skid steer loader.

The Teleskid 2TS-7T is powered by a 74 horsepower (55 kilowatt) JCB by Kohler engine, which, like the larger 3TS-8T and 3TS-8W models, meets Tier 4 final emissions standards with no need for diesel exhaust fluid and no diesel particulate filter or other exhaust aftertreatment. The 2TS-7T has a rated operating capacity of 2,096 pounds (951 kilograms) with the boom retracted and 1,140 pounds (517 kilograms) with the boom fully extended and offers 20% more breakout force than similarly sized machines. It has a maximum lift height of 11 feet 10 inches (3.6 meters), forward reach of 7 feet (2.1 meters) and the ability to dig 2 feet (1 meter) below grade. Other features include:

  • A climate-controlled cab that is 47% larger than competing machines. A canopy option is also available.

  • Standard hydraulic flow rate of 18.6 gallons per minute with an optional high-flow rate of 29.4 gallons per minute.

  • Operating weight of 9,914 pounds (4,497 kilograms) for easy transport between job sites.

  • SAE and ISO standard quick hitch compatible with all skid steer and compact track loader attachments, with a single-point quick hitch lock-and-unlock indicator for enhanced visibility.

  • JCB Smoothride System for greater load retention and operator comfort.

  • Switchable ISO/H-pattern controls.

New Kuhn Knight HP 160 ProPush hydraulic push manure spreader

The new Kuhn Knight HP 160 hydraulic push box spreader features the proven ProPush design customers have come to love, in a higher capacity, commercial-duty package. The HP 160 with VertiSpread vertical beaters is designed to haul and spread solid materials from dairies and feedlots, including gutter manure, yard scrapings, bedding pack and feedlot manure. The hydraulic push-type design means no apron chains, fewer moving parts and dependable service life.

The HP 160 joins the 2044 and 2054 ProPush hydraulic push box spreader family but features new upgrades and a greater heaped capacity of 600 cubic feet. The all-steel welded frame on the HP 160 provides a solid foundation for the spreader’s sides and floor. The solid weld-in tongue is cross-braced for strength and rigidity, while the updated pusher design has increased the clearance between the tractor and implement for greater maneuverability. VertiSpread vertical beaters equipped on the Kuhn Knight HP 160 provide customers with a uniform 25-30 foot spread pattern with excellent material breakup. Polylaminate floor and sides minimize friction and deliver exceptional machine cleanout. For precise monitoring and application tracking, an optional scale system is available.  end mark
