In a recent online poll, Progressive Cattleman asked, “How has the recent drop in cattle market prices affected your herd expansion?”

About 11 percent said they have not been expanding their herd, but now they might start. Another 9 percent said they were planning on expanding, but now they might not.

Seventeen percent said they were never expanding and won’t consider starting.

Meanwhile, an overwhelming majority of 63 percent said they have been expanding, and they will continue to do so.  end mark
