In a recent online poll, Progressive Cattleman asked, “How would you rate weather conditions in summer 2017?”
The vote was split between good rain and slightly too dry. Thirty-six percent said the summer wasn’t terrible, but it was a bit too dry. Winning the majority by 1 percent, 37 percent said there was good rain and good grass this summer.
The two extremes landed in the teens. Sixteen percent said there was heavy drought and it was pretty tough on the cattle. Eleven percent, however, said there was too much rain.
