In a recent poll, Progressive Cattleman asked, “How many hours a week do you work on your beef operation?”
Fifty-eight percent of Progressive Cattleman's readers work overtime (more than 40 hours a week) on their operations.
The 58 percent vote was a combination of three responses. Twenty-two percent of readers work more than 70 hours a week. Another 20 percent works 56 to 70 hours a week. Sixteen percent works 41 to 55 hours a week.
While most readers have plenty of overtime, many said that they work less than 40 hours a week, totaling at 42 percent.
