He brings a wealth of knowledge in the field of international sales and marketing of genetics. He speaks the major international languages and has extensive experience in the competitive global distributor markets.
Reurink’s prior employment history includes business unit director Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and India for another major A.I. company where he was responsible for sales in more than 30 countries, leading a team of five regional sales managers. While in this role he pioneered a business strategy for India and opened offices in Germany and Poland.
From 2002 to 2006, Reurink owned a distributorship for Cogent semen into several Western European countries when sorted semen first became available on the market. Prior to that, he was director of international sales for Holland Genetics when this organization was first introduced into the global market. He led a team of sales managers and support staff when key markets were developed and distributors were appointed.
Raised on a dairy farm, he developed interest in breeding and showing cows at a young age. He possesses a master’s degree in animal breeding from Wageingen University in the Netherlands. He also attended North Carolina State University, studying genetics under Dr. Ben McDaniel, a pioneer in the development of genetic improvements that could be made on various economical type, health and management traits.
