In a recent online poll, Progressive Cattleman asked, “How old is your pickup?”
The smallest group of readers (only 15 percent) had new to newish trucks, up to 5 years old. The next smallest group, which was only 17 percent of the vote, had the oldest pickup trucks at 20-plus years old.
The pattern continued between newer and older trucks. Nineteen percent of readers said their pickup trucks were 6 to 10 years old, while another 20 percent said their pickup trucks were 16 to 20 years old.
The majority’s pickup trucks averaged out in the age range. Twenty-nine percent of readers said their pickup trucks were 11 to 15 years old.
