AGCO Corporation, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural machinery and precision ag technology, showcased its newly introduced Fendt Rogator 900 Series Applicator to North America at two major agricultural trade shows in August.
True to Fendt’s tradition of delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of farmers, this first-of-its-kind self-propelled applicator adjusts between standard and high clearance with the push of a button and converts from liquid to dry application and vice versa in as little as two hours. The new Fendt Rogator Applicator offers season-long crop care versatility, delivering a single machine for applying liquid or dry crop care products any time – pre-plant, post-emerge, mid-season or late-season – as well as cover-crop seeding or application of nutrients or burndown products in the fall.
As part of the Fendt family of reliable, high-quality equipment, the Rogator 900 Series Applicator is backed by the three-year Gold Star Customer Care maintenance, service and warranty program. More information is available from Fendt dealers or by visiting their website.
New TurfKeeper and TurfKeeper Pro rear-mount, rear-discharge finish mowers
Woods Equipment Company recently announced the introduction of two new rear-mount finish mowers: TurfKeeper standard-duty and TurfKeeper Pro premium-duty.
A significant level of customer research provided the basis for design updates to the current RD and PRD Series finish mowers. This feedback translated into deliverables such as best-in-class cut quality, ease of attachment to tractors, low cost of ownership and durability.
Enhancements include quick-hitch readiness as shipped from the factory and an improved driveline holder for ease of attachment. New high-lift blades, under-deck baffling and wider discharge outlet combine to provide best-in-class cut quality. Other new features, such as belt shields with thumbscrew attachment (no tools required), ductile iron sheaves for better belt grip and a robust gearbox warranty (TurfKeeper Pro – six years, TurfKeeper – three years) make maintenance easier and less costly.
The TurfKeeper is available in 60-inch and 72-inch cutting widths and is intended for use on tractors between 15 and 35 PTO horsepower or less, while the TurfKeeper Pro offers 60-inch, 72-inch and 84-inch cutting widths for use on tractors between 15 and 50 PTO horsepower.

The top-of-the-range Auto Comfort seat features lateral suspension and a climate control system that extracts moisture on hot days or warms on cold mornings. The Horizon Ultra cab’s advanced connectivity enables customers to bring their digital life on board effortlessly, as their mobile device automatically connects to the screen and can be operated with a button on the armrest.
PLM Intelligence: Toward agriculture 4.0
The T7 HD introduces the next-generation PLM Intelligence, which represents a step forward in New Holland’s Precision Land Management strategy. It marks the shift from traditional farming practices to agriculture 4.0., where precision and interconnected farming assists farmers to plan all operations in advance, manage in real time the behavior and performance of each machine, and achieve maximum precision and efficiency.
The next-generation PLM Intelligence is a new electronic architecture that will be adopted in all New Holland next-generation equipment, so that customers will find the same logic when switching machines and easily access data to get the job done more efficiently. This is part of New Holland’s strategy to integrate digital technologies to deliver a smart and connected agriculture, with easy-to-use solutions that make farming more sustainable and productive. They include traditional precision farming applications aimed at making the operator’s life easier while optimizing yield and input costs, solutions based on connectivity and monitoring focused on improving the machine’s productivity and cloud-based solutions based on data analysis and planning to facilitate farm management decisions.
New Holland’s advanced connectivity also helps customers minimize downtime. The machine is connected to the farmer and the dealer, who can monitor the location and status of the registered connected units. They can conduct remote diagnostics via the New Holland Remote Assistance tool as well as supporting the operator in the cab with the IntelliView Connect feature, which enables them to share screen sessions. The machine is also connected to New Holland’s Control Room, which alerts the dealer about error codes, suggests solutions and can even prevent possible failures.
John Deere introduces new W200 Series M and R Windrowers that boost harvest speed and efficiency
Hay and forage harvest is a race against time, with tonnage and feed value starting to decline the moment the crop is cut. New John Deere W200 Series Self-Propelled Windrowers help farmers harvest their crop quickly and efficiently, while promoting quick dry down for high-quality hay.
“The W200M and W235M Self-Propelled Windrowers offer a cost-effective option for farmers to consider with an all-new cab and a new lower-horsepower option,” said Chase Milem, John Deere hay and forage marketing manager. “Beef and dairy producers will benefit from the W235R and W260R, thanks to a new premium cab loaded with integrated technology and innovative features that let them easily make in-cab adjustments to improve windrow formation and dry down.”
The new windrowers provide:
- R Windrowers offer 10% wider windrows than previous models.
- A 24-mph transport speed that reduces time spent moving between fields.
- Easy in-cab adjustments of swath flap and forming shields, with tilt and height resume.
- JDLink-enabled machines help to ensure peak operation performance and keep the owner connected to their machine anytime from anywhere.
The W200M and W235M are available with optional Starfire receivers and a Generation 4 CommandCenter with AutoTrac. Optional TouchSet controls allow operators to quickly adjust windrow width and tilt from the cab while cutting. Using the TouchSet settings library presets and resume function, operators can move between settings with ease. This level of control makes it easy to optimize the windrowers to accommodate for varying field and crop conditions. Operators can electronically adjust windrow formation from the cab to optimize the crop being cut to promote fast dry down. Thanks to a maximum transport speed of up to 24 mph, and improved fuel consumption compared to previous models, time and money are saved when moving between fields.
“Every minute the crop stays in the field after cutting reduces tonnage and decreases hay quality,” Milem said. “John Deere W200 Series M and R Windrowers provide customers with the unmatched ability to get the most from every acre at reduced acquisition and operating costs.”
The M and R Series Self-Propelled Windrowers are now available to order. For more information visit the John Deere website, or your local John Deere dealer.
