Art’s Way Manufacturing is staking its claim as the best box in the field with the introduction of the 2100 series forage box. With a completely new design inspired by speed, capacity, longevity and operator control, Art’s Way engineers believe they have raised the bar in this competitive product category.
Art’s Way 2100 Series forage box features and benefits:
- Robust capacity– Reduce trips and fuel costs with a high-capacity box size of your choice. Choose from 16-, 18- or 20-foot box lengths, which feature corrugated-steel sides ready to take on the acidic environment of forage harvest.
- 100% in-cab controls– Forget getting in and out of the cab multiple times a day. The independently controlled hydraulic drive system sets this forage box apart from others with its incredible convenience. With just one in-cab button, operators can switch from front unload to rear unload in an instant. The ability to stay in the cab at all times will help reduce fatigue, improve safety, avoid unfavorable weather and more.
- Lightning-fast unload– The steady hydraulic drive system brings increased speed and productivity with a time-tested four-minute front unload or one-minute rear unload.
- No-fuss engineering for easier maintenance– Art’s Way has drastically reduced the number of unique parts on this machine from previous models. In fact, the entire machine is made up of 90% streamlined components. That translates to a simple, low-maintenance forage box that just about anyone can service.
- All-around affordable– With the 2100 series, your savings come upfront and throughout the life of ownership. Common components across all model sizes and a simple design equate to reduced maintenance costs and fewer breakdowns for an overall more-economical package.

New Smart Soil Technology for the Kuhn Krause Excelerator XT 8010
Kuhn North America Inc. is pleased to introduce Smart Soil Technology for the Kuhn Krause Excelerator XT 8010. Available as an option on all folding models (20-, 25-, 30-, 34- and 40-foot), this ISOBUS system revolutionizes the way operators control their Kuhn Krause Excelerator.
Smart Soil Technology provides electronic adjustment of machine depth, front and rear gang angle, wing down pressure, star wheel pressure and front/rear levelling from any compatible ISOBUS display. Operators can store favorite settings for all functions using eight customizable presets and then quickly switch between them during operation. A preset-only mode can be used where the customer wishes to limit the operator’s ability to adjust the machine between predetermined settings.
Although adjustments are made from the display, lifting and lowering the machine for end-row turns is still carried out using the tractor selective control valves for maximum operator comfort. Redundant sensors are fitted to gang angle and depth circuits for backup in case of failure, and a machine equipped with Smart Soil Technology can always be converted back to manual mode, so an electronics failure will not result in a machine-down situation.
Smart Soil Technology is AEF certified and can be found in the online AEF database. This database allows customers to verify compatibility of ISOBUS functions between the machine and the terminal to be used, ensuring a true plug and play solution regardless of tractor brand and with no additional compatibility hardware required.
The Smart Soil Technology system is available as an option on all new Kuhn Krause Excelerator orders as of June 1, 2021 with intended season of use for spring tillage 2022.
Kuhn North America Inc. of Brodhead, Wisconsin, is a leading innovator in agricultural and industrial equipment, specializing in spreaders, mixers, hay tools and tillage tools. Northstar Attachments and Rankin Equipment Co. announce acquisition of The Verminator product line manufacturing and marketing contract
Northstar Attachments and Rankin Equipment Co. have recently acquired the exclusive rights to manufacture and market The Vernimator product line from WH-2 Investments LLC, formerly of Touchet, Washington. For most of the past decade, Inventive Products of Mountain Home, Idaho has been manufacturing the product line for WH-2, who holds the trademarks and intellectual property on them. With the partnership, Rankin Equipment’s engineering team has made improvements to the products to increase productivity, and MCM Strategic Communications has designed new logos, marketing materials and a new microsite for the product.
With two models, The Verminator designed for commercial farmers and The Junior designed for smaller landowners, this product has revolutionized gopher management in fields and orchards. This attachment for your trailer burrows underground creating tunnels into which it periodically drops bait. As many farmers know, gophers can cause serious damage to your fields, orchards and vineyards over the course of a year. A single pocket gopher is capable of digging over 150 tunnels per day and moving 4 tons of dirt per year, which can be troublesome for many crops. Studies have shown that The Verminator has an effectiveness rate of 80%, far superior to other methods of controlling gophers.
Rankin Equipment has been serving the needs of farmers, orchardists, ranchers, construction companies, equestrians and hobby farmers since 1935. Based in the Yakima Valley, the company distributes over 50 verticals of equipment and implements from over 30 manufactures, including Northstar Attachments, which the family also owns and manufactures on site at their factory in Union Gap.
