BullPEN Bull selection app

With the newly launched BullPEN mobile app, cattlemen can now find bulls for sale through auction or private treaty by setting EPD ranges, location or a breeder handle (similar to social media handles). A quick press or swipe of the results either saves preferred bulls to the BullPEN or brings up the complete bull profile along with sale details, breeder contact info and links to the video catalog if available. People can also use BullPEN when they see the bulls in person or go to the sale. Quickly looking up eye-catching bulls on the spot is a bonus.

Improvements and new options added to Hillsboro products

Hillsboro Industries will be introducing some additions and improvements to its product line in 2021. The new utility trailer toolbox and spare tire combo is a stand-alone option compatible with Hillsboro’s optional front rock guard. It features a top opening designed with gas spring-assisted lid with a lockable sealed push-button latch and has 5.5 cubic feet of storage volume. Also, all rear receiver hitches on both steel and aluminum truckbed models will have a 25,000-pound towing capacity. The standard 2-and-a-half-inch hitch comes with a 2-inch reducer. The adjustable center gate on Endura livestock trailers will now have an option to include a slider door. Both the slider and full swing options are structurally manufactured the same, with an HD extruded framework.

Arrowquip announces ‘The General’ chute

This chute is designed with all of the features cattle operations truly need and has the durability to stand up to the use and abuse a chute of this caliber needs to handle. It has interlocking steel beams on the frame to provide greater structural integrity. Other features include neck extenders for easy neck access when giving shots, side panel access for semen testing and nursing calves, a vet cage that can be used in any squeeze setting and a 3E barred headgate that provides increased light, which draws cattle toward the headgate because they believe they are moving toward an escape route, drastically improving flow. The squeeze can also work in both the V and parallel formats.
