Bulls are a critical part of any cattle operation and a costly investment in the future herd. Progressive Cattle asked producers, "How many years do you keep your bulls?" The smallest group (9.2%) of respondents said they keep bulls for only one to two years. The next largest group (27.6%) stated they keep their bulls five years or longer. The last group, comprised of more than half of the respondents (63.2%), said they keep bulls for three to four years.
