The Progressive Dairyman website also took first place for non-association website - the second consecutive year it has earned that award.

Designer Kevin Brown won first place for single photo or graphic with his illustration on modified live vaccines.

Progressive Cattleman Editor David Cooper took second place for editorial writing with his May 2012 editorial "Let transparency clean up the 'slime' debate" about the pink slime aftermath.

Cooper and staff writer Tony Okon also earned an honorable mention for in-depth reporting with the 2012 story on budget cuts and reinvention at extension networks. end mark
