Election Day, as I’m sure you’ve heard, is coming up. Responsible citizen that you are, I’m sure it’s been on your mind. It’s been on mine, too.

The optimist in me wants to emphasize what a glorious time of year the holidays can be. Thanksgiving evokes a profound sense of nostalgia, a time when the warmth of family and tradition comes together in a celebration of gratitude. The aroma of roasted turkey and savory stuffing fills the air, transporting us to childhood kitchens where laughter and stories were shared.

At times, I felt that just being a dairy farmer wasn’t enough. It is more than enough. As a full-time dairy farmer, especially a young female in the industry, there are so many opportunities for growth and development, and being able to work alongside family with animals that help feed the world is such an amazing opportunity.
